Sandra Nunley received a Masters degree in mental health counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She also holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Utah State University and Associates degree from Snow College. From 1990 to 1998 Sandra worked as a Correctional Officer / Correctional Sergeant at the Central Utah Correctional Facility.
During this time, she worked with mentally ill inmates who received assessments before reentering the general population. In addition from 2002 to 2008 she was the Residential Director of a residential treatment center for sexually challenged males between the ages of 13 and 18. From 2008 to 2009 Sandra was the Residential Director of a private residential treatment center for sexually challenged young males.
Prior to joining Mount Pleasant Academy, Sandra Provide mental health services to individuals to include individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Focusing on depressions, anxiety, substance abuse, executive functioning, family discord, social/self-esteem issues, developmental difficulties, personal strengths, needs and goals through interventions, skills teaching, exploration, validation, counseling and support. Sandra enjoys the outdoors, including 4-whelling, hiking, gardening and fishing. Sandra is the mother of 2 girls and has 9 grandchildren.
